First physical prototype for The Haackers Guild

As I mentioned last time, I will be posting a couple old blog posts that I was able to recover from the posts I wrote on my old homepage www.gamesbyray.com. The next entry was originally posted on February 11, 2016 and is all about digital alternatives to traditional prototyping.

I Have A Board Game Idea – Now What? Rerelease of Part 6: Kickstarter Basics

A couple of month ago I lost access to my previous website at http://gamesbyray.com including the first 9 articles in my I Have A Board Game Idea - Now What? Series. I was able to retrieve a couple of the entries from Google's page cache and will be re-posting those articles here. I Have A Board Game Idea, Now What? Part 11 : Lessons learned from PrairieCon XXXVII

Playing a game of World's Fair 1893

Over the weekend, I attended PrairieCon XXXVII in Brandon. It was a great weekend full of meeting new people and playing games, including a number of playtest sessions for The Hackers Guild. While I had a great time, and got some invaluable feedback, there are a few things that I would definitely do different at the next con I attend.

The Hackers Guild is Making Its Con Premiere This Weekend at PrairieCon XXXVII

The Hackers Guild to make its con debut at PrairieCon XXXVII this weekend June 3-5, 2016.

I’m super excited to be preparing to participate in PrarieCon XXXVII this weekend June 3-5, 2016. This will be the first con I’ve attended, as well as, to the best of my knowledge, the first con that The Hackers Guild will be demoed at. Playing The Hackers Guild as much as possible will be the primary focus of the weekend, but I am also running a session of Merchants and Marauders, and will likely bring a few other games with me as well.
